TpT Seller Challenge - Makeover Madness!

I'm not going in order with my blog posts for the TpT Seller Challenge.  I wrote about my dreams the other day and now I'm writing about the Week 1 Makeover Madness challenge.

Make sure you read to the end so you can find out about a sale!

I worked on updating some of my products when the challenge started, but I was not able to blog due to non-stop wedding planning.  I now have 13 days to go and I'm in pretty good shape so I can use some of my free time for TpT!

As you can see below, I updated the cover sheets of my Nouns, Adjectives, and Verbs products.  I have holidays, seasons, and animals done.  Each cover sheet has a similar look so my buyers can recognize the products as part of the same series.  I have plans to make more in this series and those will get similar covers from the beginning.

Some of the products also received updated fonts and graphics.  It was time.  Some of these products were from when I first started selling on TpT almost 2 years ago.  I have learned a lot in this time and it's always good to go back to revise.

To celebrate this makeover, I'm throwing a sale for these products.  50% off through June 30th.  Full price will return on Wednesday, July 1.  Click here to view all the products in this series or you can click on the individual products above.

TpT Seller Challenge - Dare to Dream

It has been forever since I've blogged.  I hope you've stuck around during my hiatus.  Today marks day 6 of summer for me and 16 days until my wedding!

I signed up for the TpT Seller's Challenge because I have nothing else to do right now.  No, that's not why I signed up.  I signed up because I figured I needed an excuse to stop thinking about the wedding non-stop.  And it forced me to reconnect with my followers.  (Self-promoting here: If you follow me on Instagram, you've been able to keep up with my life a little bit.  That's the one place that has not been neglected during my hiatus.)

I'm so very thankful for everything I've been able to accomplish because of TpT.  I'm also thankful for everything I've learned.  It certainly made wedding planning easier because I already knew how to design products and I applied that to all the little touches for my wedding.  I'm so proud of everything I've made for the wedding already and I can't wait to show it off to my closest family and friends.  They couldn't believe that I designed the invitations!

Anyway, this challenge came at the right time for me as I get ready for a huge life-changing event.  What better time to think about my dreams.

These are my dreams:

1. Start a family - I'm ready to be a mother.  Maybe not immediately after the wedding, but soon.  We've been living together for 2 years already and sometimes it feels like we are already married.  We won't have a huge adjustment to make after the wedding, so I don't feel the need to wait.

2.  We are ready to move out of my townhouse.  I bought it 5 years ago and we're ready for more space and a yard.

3.  My fiance has student loans that he's trying to pay off.  I was lucky and didn't have any.  So some of the extra money I make on TpT can be put toward his loans.  His debt will now be my debt once we're married.

4.  I want to continue to produce quality products and reach as many teachers and students as I can.  I also want to continue writing quality blog posts for teachers to gain ideas for their classrooms.

What are your dreams?

Tips for Mentoring a Student Teacher - Thanking

I hope you enjoyed part 9 of this series about giving feedback to your student teacher.  If you missed it, you can click on the picture above to see all the posts in this series!

After your student teacher has spent time in your classroom, it is a good idea to thank him/her for his/her hard work.

You can do this with a gift from your students and a gift from you.

Your students can create cards, a book, etc for the student teacher.  You can give him/her a personalized gift or you can just give him/her a basket of school supplies.

Whatever you choose, make it special for your student teacher.

To go along with these blog posts, I have created a guide.  This guide will be for sale in my TpT store.  It is currently $6.50 in my store!  I am finished adding to this guide for now.  I plan to add more tips to it in the future and you'll be able to get all the updates for free if you purchase it now.

What other tips for thanking your student teacher do you have?
